Malcolm and Ida
A love story in letters.
Oh, to be young and in love… but to find yourself miles apart from the one you love. Today’s ease of communication and travel makes such separations a minor inconvenience. Imagine telephoning, face-timing, texting, social media, and personal modes of transportation did not exist. What would you do? In 1920, you would have put pen to paper. Daily. You would have anticipated the train whistle and run to retrieve your true love’s message. Malcolm and Ida, my grandparents, exchanged over 700 letters this way. And they kept them.
They kept them, and my sister and I found these multitudinous communications tucked away in our childhood attic. In just a few weeks, you will be able to experience Malcolm and Ida’s 1920s love story. I am a tad excited….enjoy a sneak peek of the front and back covers.

What a dream! To find your grandparents love letters❤️
Oh, 700 letters! An absolute treasure trove. Looking forward to hearing their story.
