Wow! My mother did a similar adventure in 1954. Ernie and George sound just like her! I put all her postcards in an album, but I never thought of publishing her story here. We did follow in her footsteps in Yellowstone and South Dakota, and took pictures in the same spots! The park rangers were very interested in what had changed and what hadn't.
