Celebrating 100! Who was Jake Carter?

2026. My father was born 100 years ago this September. Illness cut his life short just beyond the half-century mark. I was a teenager when he died. His illness stole years from me before his death. Who was he? I have a synopsis of my tall, handsome father that I can recite when asked. He was a teacher, principal, and then superintendent of Stanly County Schools.
